Panel on Power-Based Interpersonal Violence

 

Join GC2Y “Sex and Resistance” students along with the GC Women’s Center, LGBTQ+ Programs, and Project BRAVE to discuss domestic violence for National Domestic Violence Awareness Month! The discussion will be led by Christy Showalter, Associate Director of Georgia Coalition Against Domestic Violence; Langston Walker, Independent Contractor and Consultant; and Khyla Guishard, Project BRAVE Peer Facilitator. This event will describe domestic violence, how it happens, and what people can do to prevent it. It will also go into detail about domestic violence resources available to all Georgia College students and projects happening around campus, such as the Clothesline Project. At the end, there will be a brief Q&A involving all the panelists.
